BISHOPSTONE PRIMARY

In October, the students from Bishopston embarked on an enthralling journey, delving into the evolution of iconic landmarks, with a special focus on the Mumbles train, castle, and lighthouse. The Mumbles Development Trust generously provided the group with vintage posters previously exhibited at Blackpill Station (please refer to the poster example).

In close collaboration with the students, we guided them in the creation of their unique posters. To maintain a uniform and aesthetically pleasing theme, we adopted a black and white color palette, inspired by the artistic style of the posters at Blackpill. These posters contained informative content and intriguing facts that the students had discovered during their explorations.

Furthermore, the students had the opportunity to view historical footage of the Mumbles train. Upon returning to the classroom, they engaged in persuasive writing, aligning their work with the ongoing school curriculum.
